Meet Dr. James Payne

Dr. Payne earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Texas in 2012, after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 2008.  Although he came to El Paso to practice general dentistry, Dr. Payne soon noticed that he had an interest and aptitude in extracting wisdom teeth.  After pursuing additional training and coursework, as well as hands-on mentoring, Dr. Payne has provided wisdom tooth and sedation services since 2013 in multiple practices in and around the El Paso area.  Recently, he has joined Dr. Kirwin at Tierra Este Family Dentistry in order to offer additional services such as IV sedation for wisdom teeth removal.

As a young man, Dr. Payne spent two and a half years in Latin America.  He appreciates the international spirit of El Paso and prides himself on serving his patients in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.  Dr. Payne loves El Paso and resides there with his lovely wife and their five children.
